Garage Storage

Here’s a very interesting product for you to check out. I hadn’t ever heard of product for the garage storage but as soon as I saw them, I started thinking about everything. The honest truth is that my garage is a freaking mess, and I don’t really have any work space in there.

One great place to look for gifts for him is by going to Carguygarage.com, where there are literally over a 1000 wonderful choices that will make him happy. You can’t go wrong!

Anything you buy at this site would be appreciated. The items are very nice and the kids would be able to go in together on a gift and buy one that he has been wishing for, but didn’t feel he could afford yet.

I signed up for PPP!

So my friends, as you can tell I signed up with pay-per-post (PPP). What made me decide to try out PPP is a friend of a friend was doing some writing for PPP on her blog. It looked easy and tasteful. She wrote about products that she liked.

The real secret is that I'd like to make some money from my writing. Since I became ill with Wegener's Granulomatosis (well, yea I had to put my disease in here somewhere), I have not been able to work. I am susceptible to germs (my immune system is suppressed by chemo drugs). And I'd like to keep my illness under control so isolation is the order of the day.

Also, the blog marketing keeps my writing skills up too. Since I like to write, PPP could be a win-win for me.

It’s a great way to earn some extra money for those luxury items by doing something that most of us bloggers already do. Post to our blogs. I intend to use the money I make doing PPP to help pay off my debt, and maybe buy myself something special. I love Coach, and have confessed to my obsession many times before. Maybe I’ll save for that elusive vacation. Who knows? The possibilities are endless.

Hitachi's Massive 1TB Hard Drive

The new Deskstar 7K1000 can hold 150 high-def movies or more than 300,000 high-res photos.

Data storage doesn't tend to elicit wows or water-cooler conversations, but that's about to change: Hitachi's new Deskstar 7K1000, the first hard drive to reach one terabyte, is here--and it's worth the hype.

Based on our exclusive evaluation, this gonzo-size drive is a keeper, scoring near the top on our performance tests. But be prepared to pay a premium for this drive's high performance and high capacity.

One terabyte has long been considered a watermark capacity for hard drives, and rightly so: Suddenly, it's possible to pack 330,000 high-resolution digital photos (at 3MB a pop) or about 150 high-definition movies (encoded at 9 megabytes per second using MPEG-4) onto a single drive.

Previously, if you wanted to achieve such colossal capacity, you'd have to harness multiple 250GB drives together with disk spanning, or pair two 500GB drives configured using either disk spanning or striping (RAID 0).

Look at the newly launched Windows Mobile 6

Microsoft Corp.'s recently announced Windows Mobile 6 software for smart phones is a step forward for the company, offering some important improvements over previous versions of the software. Windows Mobile 6--previously known by the code name Crossbow--will make its formal debut at 3GSM, a major cell phone trade show in Barcelona, Spain. But just how good is the new software? At first glance, Microsoft's attempt to make Windows Mobile 6 look more like Vista has resulted in a better-looking piece of software, with a new font and a cleaner overall appearance. But the most important improvements to Windows Mobile 6 aren't cosmetic.

The Windows Mobile versions of key Microsoft Office apps--Word, Excel, and PowerPoint--have been beefed up slightly. You can now edit data in an Excel spreadsheet (although you can't create formulas or new spreadsheets).

The calendar application now checks for schedule conflicts when you get an invitation. And borrowing from the new desktop editions of Office (2007), Windows Mobile 6's calendar sports a vaguely ribbon-like interface that shows your free time during a day.Windows Mobile 6 isn't a huge upgrade from the current version 5, but it sports some new features aimed at both its traditional business users and mainstream consumers.

Microsoft also improved the browser and instant-messaging functions in Windows Mobile. For example, you can send text or voice messages to your MSN contacts, while chatting with several contacts simultaneously. If a contact doesn't respond, you can also send a "nudge," which causes the user's phone to vibrate, letting them know that they've received a message.

Samsung's new fuel cell capable of powering a laptop for a month.

Korea's Samsung Electronics has developed a docking station equipped with a fuel cell capable of powering a laptop for a month. The dock uses a Direct Methanol Fuel Cell with a maximum output of 20 watts. Direct Methanol Fuel Cells(DMFCs) are best suited to producing small amounts of power over a long periods at low temperatures, making them well suited to mobile devices.

The dock is capable of powering a laptop eight hours a day, five days a week for a month. A minature version is under development which can power a laptop for more than 15 hours on a coffee cup's worth of fuel. This new innovation is designed for Samsung's Q35 ultraportable laptop, the docking station contains a 1200-watt-hour fuel cell
